Congratulations to Mariah Xu ES ’16, the winner of this year’s poster competition for the Adrian Van Sinderen Book Collecting Prizes. Honorable mention was awarded to Franklyn Zhu BR ’17.
In 1957 Adrian Van Sinderen (Class of 1910) established two annual book collecting prizes—one for seniors and one for sophomores—in order to encourage undergraduates to collect books, build their own libraries, and read for pleasure and learning. In 2002 an undergraduate poster competition was established. A $500 prize is awarded to the winning designer of the annual poster announcing the book collecting prizes.
